It involves ensuring that research activities and investment advice are always guided by honesty, due diligence, and integrity.
Let’s stay vigilant by following these key principles:
🔹 Avoid Misleading Claims – Be cautious of any advertisement or message that promises guaranteed returns or 95% accuracy. Such claims violate SEBI’s Code of Conduct for Research Analysts under Regulation 24(2).
🔹 Verify SEBI Registration – Before following or associating with any market intermediary or research service, check if they are SEBI-registered and disclose their registration number as mandated under Regulation 18.
🔹 Follow Ethical and Transparent Practices – Research Analysts must avoid conflicts of interest, disclose their personal holdings as per Regulation 23, and ensure all research reports are based on thorough analysis and reasonable assumptions.
🔹 Educate, Don’t Promise – A true analyst’s role is to inform and empower investors — not to offer assured profits.
